January 2024 EURAMI update
EURAMI gears up for a dynamic 2024: updates, conferences, and exciting milestones
As we usher in a new year, the EURAMI Board and Office are eagerly anticipating a year filled with growth, innovation, and impactful changes. With more than 14 re-accreditation audits on the horizon and over seven providers currently in the registration process, 2024 promises to be another busy chapter for the association.
One of the most significant developments in the pipeline is a comprehensive overhaul of the EURAMI Statutes, alongside updates to the Terms & Conditions and Board Bylaws. These revisions underscore EURAMI's commitment to maintaining the highest standards in leading and developing the organisation, ensuring that our principles and membership align seamlessly with the ever-evolving landscape of the industry.
Auditors and audit software
On the auditor front, we are gearing up for a proactive year of training for our new auditors. Practical shadow audits will be a key component of this preparation, providing hands-on experience before they embark on their individual assignments. This training approach not only ensures the competence of our auditors but also instills a thorough understanding of our accreditation processes.
Furthermore, EURAMI is actively engaged in the development of internal audit software, a significant enhancement that will further streamline our procedures. The forthcoming software will introduce additional features, including the capability for document uploads by providers. This innovation aims to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the accreditation process, creating a more seamless experience for both auditors and providers. Additionally, the incorporation of a customer relationship management (CRM) system will further simplify the management of individual audits.
These technological advancements underscore our commitment to staying at the forefront of industry standards and facilitating a more user-friendly experience for all stakeholders involved in the accreditation process.
Ethics committee
In a strong move towards organisational transparency and accountability, EURAMI is set to establish an ethics committee. This committee will play a crucial role in supporting the association's ethical considerations, providing guidance on complex issues, and fostering a culture of integrity within our membership. The ethics committee will be staffed with three members of the EURAMI community which will be nominated by the EURAMI Board.
Vienna 2024
As previously announced, the second EURAMI Conference is scheduled to take place on 9 November, 2024, in the enchanting city of Vienna, Austria. Following the conference, the EURAMI General Assembly on the morning of 10 November will provide an opportunity for members to come together over breakfast, share insights, and actively participate in shaping the future of EURAMI. EURAMI will also have a Board Election scheduled for the 39th General Assembly, followed by the election of a new President and Vice-President.
Rotary wing standards
In response to the success of the EURAMI Fixed Wing 6.0. and EURAMI CAME 2.0. Standards, EURAMI is preparing to set up a member committee tasked to work on the Rotary Wing 6.0. Standards. This collaborative effort ensures that our standards remain at the forefront of the industry, adapting to the dynamic needs of air medical transport in all areas of accreditation.
EURAMI’s Managing Director, Claudia Schmiedhuber, will continue to represent EURAMI on the international stage, advocating on behalf of the association at multiple conferences amongst fellow aeromedical peers and payors.
As we step into 2024, the EURAMI Board is excited about the opportunities that the new year will bring. The EURAMI Board and Office sends their heartfelt wishes to all members and stakeholders, anticipating a fantastic beginning to what assures to be a thrilling and dynamic year for EURAMI!
