International Assistance Group in action: advancing assistance

From developing targeted learning programmes and advancing roadside services, to providing expert on-the-ground responses during crises, IAG remains committed to equipping partners with the tools, training and shared knowledge they need to deliver.

Global learning and new initiatives

Ongoing learning and professional development in global assistance is a key focus for the IAG. Their online training platform provides practical and accessible content for assistance professionals at all levels, from onboarding to more advanced development.

Complexities of Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Cases became the 10th module on IAG’s online learning platform, building on the foundational Medical Transport by Air course, developed with specialist IAG partners, including European Air Ambulance and Capital Air Ambulance. A new Commercial Medical Escort module is also in development, shaped by valuable input and real-world examples from across the IAG network.

To support growing interest in regional cost containment, IAG’s local cost containment and Assistance Partner, MCI Assist, is leading a new module on the Spanish healthcare system. This will sit alongside existing US-focused content developed by New Frontier Group.

Roadside assistance is also gaining dedicated support, with two new modules currently under review, marking the first eLearning resources tailored for those working in the roadside space.

Positive feedback from training managers across our global network reflects the value it’s bringing to the network and highlights IAG’s ongoing support for professional development across the assistance industry.

Connecting in Warsaw: latest in roadside

IAG partners gathered in Warsaw, Poland, in April for the roadside assistance spring meeting. WTW Services co-hosted the event, offering warm hospitality and a taste of Polish culture, including an Old Town treasure hunt and traditional dinner.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect, reflect on recent discussions from the Bratislava Forum and align on shared priorities. Partners explored ways to strengthen cross-border collaboration, refine joint approaches to future opportunities and improve integration across the network.

With momentum building and a newly formed strategy group supporting this work, the conversations in Warsaw marked a strong start to the year, setting the tone for continued collaboration ahead with the upcoming IAG Roadside Academy in Paris.

IAG’s network in action: response to recent earthquakes

The strength of the IAG network lies in its ability to respond quickly and effectively when it matters most. The recent 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar was felt across Thailand, including Bangkok, and was a powerful reminder of the need for coordinated, on-the-ground expertise and support.

As buildings were damaged and services disrupted, IAG’s extensive local network worked around the clock to deliver support and critical local insight for IAG Core Partners with travellers in the region.

With ongoing seismic activity across the region, IAG remains alert. Its long-standing local partnerships and ability to act swiftly ensure that support is ready wherever and whenever it’s needed.

IAG EduTour in Morocco

IAG’s sixth EduTour was held in Morocco, bringing together partners to visit Core Partner Maroc Assistance Internationale and other local service providers to learn about the Morocco healthcare system.

Upcoming events

The IAG network will come together this October for the IAG Global Forum and Roadside Academy in Paris. The final EduTour for the year will take place in the Dominican Republic (1–5 December) connected to the IAG Summit in Miami on US and Caribbean healthcare.
