EURAMI accreditation update - November 2022
The board of the European Aero-Medical Institute shares its latest news with ITIJ, detailing which air medical providers are demonstrating their committment to quality care in the air through undertaking and successfully completing the accreditation process
Australian-based aeromedical Provider LifeFlight Australia has successfully achieved its primary accreditation with the European Aero-Medical Institute e.V.
LifeFlight has been awarded with Regional Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance and Intercontinental/Long-Range Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Accreditation, as well as an endorsements in Adult Critical Care, Advanced Adult Critical Care, Paediatric Critical Care, Neonatal Critical Care and EMS Special Care. Besides their main base in Brisbane, EURAMI also audited the additional bases in Townsville, Australia, and Singapore. LifeFlight operates a dedicated fleet of four Challenger 604s and provides its service worldwide.

AMREF Flying Doctors – a global aeromedical operator with its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya – has once again been reaccredited by the European Aero-Medical Institute e.V. since achieving its primary accreditation in 2007.
Besides achieving accreditation in Long-Range/Intercontinental FixedWing Air Ambulance and Regional Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance, the company was also awarded a medical endorsement in the Adult Critical Care category. In addition, AMREF was successfully reaccredited in Commercial Airline Medical Escorts. AMREF operates a dedicated fleet of fixed-wing aircraft out of Wilson Airport in Nairobi and operates worldwide.

Austrian-based air ambulance provider Tyrol Air Ambulance – also known as TAA – has once again successfully achieved reaccreditation with the European Aero-Medical Institute e.V.
Tyrol Air Ambulance was awarded accreditation in Long-Range/ Intercontinental Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance and was endorsed for Adult Critical Care, Advanced Adult Critical Care and Paediatric Critical Care. The company – under the leadership of CEO Manfred Helldoppler and Medical Director Dr Eva Wurz – operates a dedicated fleet of Gulfstream 100 and Citation Bravo 550s out of their homebase in Innsbruck, Austria.

The EURAMI Board and Office are delighted to welcome our EURAMI members to the 37th General Assembly, which will take place during ITIC Global 2022 in the King George Ballroom at the King George Hotel in Athens, Greece. The meeting will commence at 4pm local time. We are excited to present the latest achievements, alongside our new Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Standards Version 6.0, to our members.
