Jovana Ivanusa reports how TBS Team 24 is using new digital solutions to handle cases more quickly

In the field of international medical assistance, the ability to handle cases quickly and accurately can make all the difference – for the client, for the healthcare provider and the insurer. With this in mind, TBS Team 24 developed two new tools – BlueBox MediClaims Doc and MediClaims App – designed to strengthen efficiency and human decision-making.

From paperwork to process flow

Traditionally, case reporting and processing have required significant manual input. Data often had to be shared through multiple channels, requiring timeconsuming communication between doctors, assistance centres, and insured clients, slowing the process and increasing the risk of human error.

With MediClaims Doc, doctors and clinics can now report cases directly at the point of care. Structured data entry guides them through key steps – from recording patient details and insurance information to uploading medical documentation and listing service costs.

Everything is submitted in real time and becomes instantly available to the assistance operator. Similarly, MediClaims App allows insured clients to submit their cases independently. This dual entry system ensures that essential information reaches the right place faster, with far less administrative back-and-forth.

Reducing manual intervention, strengthening outcomes

The introduction of these tools has had a clear impact on workflow. By digitising the reporting and processing of cases, a large portion of manual intervention is eliminated. Tasks that once required phone calls, emails, or re-typing of data are now handled by the system itself. This automation reduces the likelihood of errors caused by miscommunication or incomplete information, ensuring that cases are processed more smoothly.

The human touch remains essential

It is important to underline, however, that technology alone does not provide the full solution. Both solutions are designed as supportive tools rather than replacements for professional judgment. They handle routine tasks so that doctors, operators, and claims specialists can focus on what they do best.

By lightening the administrative load, they allow professionals to dedicate more time to meaningful interactions with clients and more energy to decision-making that requires nuance and care.

Creating a balanced digital ecosystem

The real strength of these applications lies in how they complement one another. On the one hand, MediClaims Doc equips medical professionals with a reliable and transparent reporting tool. On the other, MediClaims App empowers clients to initiate their own cases in a convenient, user-friendly way. Together, they create a digital ecosystem in which data flows seamlessly between all stakeholders.

For insurers and assistance providers, benefits include fewer communication delays, reduced administrative costs, improved data integrity, and ultimately, better service for clients. For healthcare providers, the tools simplify reporting and minimise interruptions to patient care. For insured individuals, they offer a faster, clearer way to engage with their insurer.
