WBN announces new appointments at its 66th Global Conference
Global network of independent insurance brokers and employee benefits consultants Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) has expanded its network as it welcomed four new members, a new Chairman and Treasurer and an additional new Board member
The network has grown significantly during the last 12 months following the appointment of new CEO Olga Collins in April 2021. This growth has been achieved through the introduction of eight new network members, two new associate members, a new Board Chairman and Treasurer, and two new Board members. WBN has also made several appointments to its headquarters team, undertaken a global re-brand, and is now executing a new business strategy that will deliver additional expansion and increased benefits for its member base.
Brian Hetherington, President of Newfront has been inducted as Chairman of the Board and Gurpal Dhingra, Director of Prudent Insurance Brokers has taken on the role of Treasurer. In addition, Benjamin Verlingue, Director of International Subsidiaries at Verlingue, one of Europe's largest independent insurance brokers, joins as Board Members. Hetherington, Dhingra and Verlingue bring over 60 years of leadership experience and industry knowledge into their respective roles.
The newest WBN members are as follows:
- Arachas – Ireland’s largest nationwide insurance broker with offices in Dublin, Kildare, Galway, Mayo, Cavan, Waterford and Cork
- Sanyuu – an independent insurance broker based in São Paulo that provides bespoke solutions for its customers across Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits
- APR – one of the top insurance brokers in its region and one of the top five surety brokers in Brazil
- D’or APR – a specialist employee benefits consultancy set up as a joint venture between D’or Consultoria and APR.
