VisitorsCoverage partners with One Tree Planted
Travel insurance marketplace VisitorsCoverage will donate a portion of its revenue for the next three months to the non-profit organisation
The partnership will run until 22 July, and the funds will be used to support the planting of 15,000 trees around the world this year.
Of this number, One Tree Planted will plant a third in California, a further third in the Amazon rainforest, and the remainder in India.
Reforestation is a technique for counteracting the level of carbon dioxide being released into the air, as plants consume this gas.
The partnership comes in the wake of a recent survey conducted by VisitorsCoverage on 2023 travel trends, in which 75 per cent of respondents felt that sustainability was ‘very important’ in the process of making travel decisions.
“This partnership with One Tree Planted affirms our continued commitment to furthering eco-friendly efforts and contributing, in our way, to the conservation of the environment for future generations,” said Rajeev Shrivastava, CEO of VisitorsCoverage.
VisitorsCoverage recently launched a travel insurance ‘storefront’ solution called Treppy, which is designed to allow insurance agents to embed products on their websites.
