Zurich to provide coverage to Monzo customers

Online bank Monzo has announced Zurich as the new provider of travel insurance for its Premium members
Zurich will take over as provider of worldwide family travel insurance for Monzo Premium from 3 July. The change is not expected to affect its offering in any substantial way, with the same excess amount and coverage.
Zurich will replace previous travel insurance provider AXA in providing the product, and will be supported in this endeavour by embedded insurance insurtech Qover.
The change is intended to give Premiums a better claims support experience via the Monzo app. Previously, claimants had to call AXA directly, or use that company’s online claims management portal. In future, Monzo Premium customers will be able to submit and track a claim via the app as well.
Alpha Bank Romania recently updated its own travel insurance policy, provided in partnership with Groupama, to include remote medical support.
