Rhodes, Greece named best city for solo travellers in 2023

A new report from ultra-low-cost European airline Wizz Air has revealed the top city destinations for solo travellers.

The destinations have been ranked based on TripAdvisor reviews.

The city is first place was Rhodes, Greece. Seventy-six per cent of its solo traveller user reviews rated it a five-star destination. Of these, the city’s attractions received a majority of five-star reviews (79 per cent), alongside 73 per cent of reviews for restaurants located within the city.

In second place is Split in Croatia, which saw 73 per cent of its reviews holding a five-star rating from solo travellers. Of these, the city’s attractions received a majority of five-star reviews (81 per cent), alongside 66 per cent of reviews for restaurants located within Split.

Faro, Portugal came in third place, with 67 per cent of user reviews at a five-star rating. Of these, the city’s attractions received a majority of five-star reviews (64 per cent), alongside 71 per cent of reviews for the city’s restaurants.

In fourth and fifth place were Istanbul, Turkey and Florence, Italy respectively.
