QuartzClinical using machine learning to help hospitals
QuartzClinical, which a division of the Surgisphere Corporation, a medical education and healthcare data analytics company based in Chicago, US, has introduced its next-generation machine learning predictions algorithms that it says can help hospitals deliver better health and care for a lower cost.
The company said that its healthcare analytics platform offers a solution to the escalating cost of healthcare and increasingly unaffordable health insurance premiums by reducing readmission to the hospital, inpatient mortality and length of stay associated with many surgical procedures.
Predictive algorithms, AI and big data enable QuartzClinical to use an individual patient’s information to predict the likelihood of adverse outcomes, readmission to hospital and death. The idea is that hospitals and physicians can use this information to improve clinical care and deliver personalised medicine.
