Fever Pitch
Editor-in-Chief Ian Cameron weighs up this month's news
The pages of ITIJ this month are naturally rammed full of pandemic related news from around the globe: from pages 1-20 actually
So having ranted, read and written about Covid-19 news for the last few months, I thought I’d pick on something a bit different, and more fun, positive and upbeat to highlight, and there it is on pages 24-26.
Yes, it’s the Health News pages and it’s all about the resurgence of such wonderfully diverse diseases such as Dengue fever, yellow fever and Ebola.
Fantastic, what a wonderfully different, pleasant, and informative read. Yes.
Actually, hang on, NO. NO, these are also actually rather scary diseases too.
Don’t we have any nice non-scary diseases to talk about: Like the common cold or something?
Right OK, let’s play it safe then. It’s off to pages 38-46. Yes, correct, pages 38-46.
Yes, I know, it’s the Service Directory. Lots of very nice and interesting things there, like names and contacts of all types of companies in our industry. Wonderful, nothing too scary in here (with the exception of the Funeral Directors section, of course), absolutely fascinating read; can’t wait to turn the page and see what comes next.
What do you mean, that’s sad? Have none of you ever read a telephone directory?
No? What is the world coming to?
