Daman launches health insurance for World Cup attendees

Abu Dhabi’s National Health Insurance Company – Daman – unveils new health insurance scheme for UAE visitors planning to travel to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup
The World Cup Travel Insurance Plan (Multi Trip) is designed to cover visitors to the UAE who want to use the country as a ‘base’, before flying to and from Qatar to attend football matches.
The plan offers flexible, multi-trip coverage for travellers moving between the two countries during the event, which runs throughout November and December.
It is available as a 14-day and 40-day policy, with or without comprehensive Covid-19 insurance. Premiums start at 20 dihram for a 14-day non-Covid policy, rising to a top-end of 50 dihram for a 40-day policy with Covid coverage.
The plan will only be available to people visiting the UAE during their World Cup trip.
”These plans are ideally suited to visitors who have been drawn to the region by the World Cup in Qatar,” said Stuart Leatherby, Chief Commercial Business Officer for the National Health Insurance Company – Daman. “With millions of people estimated to come to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations en route to football's crowning event this year, these flexible, accessible insurance policies offer peace of mind for all.”
