The new facility will partially launch in December 2023, with the opening of a ‘rapid access and urgent care clinic’ offering ‘same- and next-day appointments’ for patients with ‘urgent eye symptoms’. This includes damage from trauma, infection, dry eye, pain, redness, swelling, or sudden changes in vision.

The centre will also launch a number of specialist ophthalmology clinics in 2024.

All financial surplus generated by Moorfields Private in its partnership with Cleveland Clinic London will be reinvested into Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
