The April 2020 issue of ITIJ is out now
In ITIJ's April 2020 issue, we begin to assess the impact of the current coronavirus pandemic on our industry and look at consular collaboration around the world
In ITIJ this month, Covid-19 naturally dominates our thoughts and our reporting, as we start to assess the impact the pandemic is having on our industry across the world. In particular, we take an in-depth look at the cruise industry’s response to having positive – and suspected positive – Covid-19 patients onboard, asking if the cruise industry’s crisis response preparedness is adequate and what lessons have been learned so far with the current pandemic response.
We also look at why its important for travel insurers, assistance providers and other industry players to have good working relationships with embassies and consulates around the world; we interview Janette Hiscock, CEO for Europe at UnitedHealthcare Global; and we have a full report on the recent International Travel & Health Insurance Conference in Costa Rica.
As we continue to assess the impact of Covid-19 on the industry, we welcome your insights and any news regarding your operations.
In our next issue, we’ll be looking at how travel insurers have been adapting their products and services, so to contribute please email [email protected] – we’d love to hear from you.
