Al Ahli Hospital re-accredited by ACHSI
Al Ahli Hospital in Doha, Qatar has announced that it has been awarded another four years full healthcare accreditation by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI); this marks four years since Al Ahli first achieved full international accreditation under the ACHSI’s Evaluation and Quality Improvement Programme, according to the Gulf Times.
Al Ahli Hospital in Doha, Qatar has announced that it has been awarded another four years full healthcare accreditation by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI); this marks four years since Al Ahli first achieved full international accreditation under the ACHSI’s Evaluation and Quality Improvement Programme, according to the Gulf Times.
Officials from Australia, India and Hong Kong evaluated the hospital based on 46 separate standards, taking into account consistency, quality improvement and the implementation of recommendations made during the last cycle of accreditation. Measurable improvements were noted across all areas, and the evaluating staff offered particular congratulation on the enhancements that had been made in terms of team collaboration and quality of care.
“The hospital is eager to achieve and excel in international standards for patients’ safety and we are doing our best to achieve the highest quality in healthcare for patients by enhancing education and professional development for medical, nursing and allied health professionals,” said Al Ahli’s Deputy CEO Jamal Hammad. “This creates an entrepreneurial spirit among them as they strive for best possible practice.”
Medical Director Dr Abdul Azim Abdul Wahab Hussain, meanwhile, stated: “[Our] hospital is characterised by dedicated professional medical and nursing staff, and the proof of this is the strong communication between them. This demonstrates a dynamic team focused on patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes. This has been part of the longer-term strategy to provide excellent service and the best quality of care.”
