Recession depression causes holiday rise


British holidaymakers are expected to spend over £43 billion on holidays this summer, according to new research from Sainsbury's Travel Insurance. Even with the recession, research from Sainsbury's has shown that Britons plan to take 56 million holidays this summer and spend over £43 billion on them, with more than one in three people intending to vacation in the increasingly expensive eurozone.
