Australia’s Cover-More, a provider of travel insurance and emergency assistance, has appointed Professor Steve Rashford MBBS, FACEM, to the position of chief medical officer. In his new role, Professor Rashford will be responsible for the company’s delivery of emergency medical assistance in Australia, New Zealand, China (under the Assistance Online brand) and Malaysia. Professor Rashford is one of Australia’s leading emergency medicine specialists, with more than 20 years of experience in aeromedical retrieval, medical assistance and pre-hospital care. He has been the medical director for Queensland Ambulance since 2005 and for the past seven years has also worked as the medical director of a large global medical assistance provider.
