Boutique hotels popular

UKNew research released by UK-based digital marketing agency Greenlight has shown that, in terms of online searches, queries for UK boutique hotels currently outnumber queries for those in short or long-haul destinations by a ratio of 3:1. The agency analysed search data for specialist hotels and found that, in August this  year, consumer searches for ‘small, fashionable, luxury and trendy hotel’ totalled 136,650, with 57 per cent of these being for accommodation in the UK, 17 per cent for short-haul destinations and three per cent for long-haul destinations. The most queried search term domestically was ‘boutique hotels London’, making up seven per cent of searches for boutique hotels in the UK – overall, of the 10 most popular search terms, four were related to the UK’s capital city.
