Aria Assistance, formed by the team behind the management buyout of Europ Assistance Group’s UK and Ireland and International Health Solutions business, is poised to launch its new brand, following recent Financial Services Authority (FSA) approval. The team, working with its extensive network of contractors and service providers across the motor, travel, health assistance, home emergency and international private medical insurance sectors, plans to offer combined insurance and assistance solutions to customers in the UK and Ireland, working on behalf of the Europ Assistance Group and retaining access to its resources. Underwriting arrangements will stay in place for existing policyholders, and at renewal, policies will be underwritten by Great Lakes Reinsurance (UK) Plc, a subsidiary of Munich Re. Aria Assistance will also offer internal underwriting through its own subsidiary, Aria Insurance Limited.
“The strength of our organisation has always been its people,” said Patrick Leroy, who remains chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, working alongside Tim Ablett, “and I look forward to working alongside them to introduce the new and innovative services we have in the pipeline, and to ensure that Aria Assistance is the benchmark for service delivery.” The company will continue to trade from its existing officers in West Sussex, Haywards Heath and Navan, Ireland.
