Risk services companies International SOS and Control Risks have today announced their new joint venture TravelTracker Incident Support, a product which aims to help companies locate employees within one hour of a terrorist incident.
With the increase in attacks in previously low-risk areas, says International SOS, finding mobile workers is a high priority. The new Incident Support system initiates contact with business travellers within the first hour of a potential attack, allowing managers to prioritise who needs the most help.
International SOS says that its system uses its TravelTracker technology plus comprehensive travel security alerts and multi-modal communications powered by Everbridge.
“Speed is imperative during a crisis,” said Leigh Burns of International SOS. “As security incidents are on the rise, even in locations previously considered safe, our clients have increasingly asked for a 24/7 support mechanism minimising the time between incident reporting and locating potentially impacted travellers. TravelTracker Incident Support does just this … We report on employee whereabouts within an hour, and sooner if all employees respond immediately.”
When an incident occurs, International SOS’s security experts investigate and validate reports of the event in under 30 minutes, according to the company. As soon as this is complete, the Incident Support service will contact those members near the event via email, SMS and text-to-speech protocols, and assistance may then be sent if needed.
