Insurer XL Catlin has announced that it has introduced an accident and health solution, called Protect and Assist, to the UK market. It says the product is designed to help UK businesses protect its employees and meet duty of care needs.
The plan offers combined personal accident and business travel insurance with a support and response service designed to reduce and prevent risks before travel, says XL Catlin. It also includes a pre-travel medical assessment for any employees going overseas.
“In developing this solution, we recognised we had a great opportunity to totally rethink what a client wants and needs and to build from the ground up a modern product that serves business today,” said Patrick Corbett, global head of life at XL Catlin. “I believe we have achieved that by providing not only insurance but a solution that proactively strengthens and supports a client’s duty of care, protecting their greatest asset, their people, from unexpected risks in the workplace and when travelling for business.”
