The British Insurance Brokers’ Association has announced its Young Broker of the Year for 2019.

The annual award recognises exceptional performance by young brokers in the workplace and aims to encourage young people to commit to a career in the sector, promoting high levels of professional excellence. Ryan Legge of Hayes Parsons Insurance Brokers has won the award for the year. Also highly commended alongside Legge were Bethan Perris of Vista Insurance and Ashleigh Overton of Jelf.

The judges said that Legge impressed them with his ‘commitment and professionalism’: “Not only to his day job, where he has an impressive proven track record, but also his desire to promote the insurance industry via the Hayes Parsons apprenticeship scheme, which he also oversees.”

Lord Hunt of Wirral, Chair of BIBA, added his thoughts: “Ryan is a worthy winner and we all congratulate him on his award. He is clearly set to have a stellar career in broking, and I know we shall all enjoy watching his progression within the industry in the years ahead. My congratulations go also to Bethan and Ashleigh.”
