UnitedHealthcare Global unveils a new IPMI product
US healthcare company UnitedHealthcare Global has unveiled a new international private medical insurance (IPMI) product called BeHealthy in the UK and 31 markets in the European Economic Area (EEA). BeHealthy focuses on wellbeing, with the goal of helping employees working abroad to identify and manage their health risks. It includes access to: UnitedHealthcare’s worldwide medical network of more than 1.3 million care providers and almost 21,000 hospitals and health and wellness benefits such as employee assistance programmes, a wellness coaching resource and preventative health screenings, and in-house risk and assistance benefits via 22,000 third-party operations in 115 countries.
Also included in the plan is a personalised digital solution called My Wellbeing that is designed to cultivate healthy habits among participants. The solution combines clinical programmes and engagement techniques with mobile technology, social networking and gamification and currently has 67,000 members worldwide 29 per cent of whom lost weight, 11 per cent of whom reduced their blood pressure and 42 of whom reduced their risk of diabetes. In addition, Be Healthy includes UnitedHealthcare Global's travel security manager, an online tracking tool that helps locate and communicate with employees around the world.
