Sharon Evans and Ross Tyler appointed to the business development team of the specialist engineering and technology insurer

HSB has announced Sharon Evans and Ross Tyler as Business Development Managers.

Evans and Tyler will focus on implementing sales strategies throughout distribution channels, to support corporate objectives and growth ambitions. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, growing the engineering insurance and inspection business portfolios, overseeing the renewal of existing accounts and negotiating new business opportunities.

After a 30-year career in the insurance industry – including broking, underwriting and sales roles across brokers, MGAs and insurers – Evans will be based in Yorkshire and North East.

Tyler has worked across all commercial lines areas, including property and casualty, fleet, construction and inspection, with over seven years’ experience in the insurance sector. He will be based in East Anglia and the Home Counties.

Paul Kay, Director of Sales at HSB, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ross and Sharon to the Business Development team. With a wealth of experience and knowledge of the market, they will be key in helping HSB achieve its strategic goals and sales objectives.”

To create partnerships, insurance companies should look towards different platforms to offer the most business development potential
