TravelCard assists travellers in Bali
Staff from TravelCard Real-Time Travel Insurance, an Australia-based provider of real-time travel insurance, recently travelled to Bali to render aid to Australian travellers stranded due to the volcano eruption.
Customer support and claims specialist staff met with local correspondents in Denpasar to assist members whose trips had been affected by the Mt Agung eruption, which took place on 29 June, causing many flights to be cancelled.
“Our Australia-based customer support team proactively phoned TravelCard policyholders when the volcano erupted,” said Michael Tauber, CEO of TravelCard, “and then arrived in Bali as soon as Denpasar airport opened and started contacting TravelCard members and their families, who very much appreciated TravelCard staff travelling to Bali to assist them in person, and were relieved to hear that they were covered for any changes to flights and accommodation as a result of the eruption.”
