Temos begins resuming onsite visits
Due to the global pandemic, Temos International GmbH was forced to suspend all onsite accreditation visits to hospitals since March 2020. However, the organisation has announced that in December 2020, it was able to resume onsite assessment activities in ‘suitable countries’. The first of which took place in Turkey at Antalya and Side Anatolia Hospitals. The next destination that Temos is due to conduct an onsite visit in is Panama, where Dr Claudia Mika, Temos Founder and CEO, will visit The Panama Clinic for a pre-assessment.
New appointments expand Temos’s reach into Curaçao and Seychelles
Temos has appointed Eileen Isebia, who will be supporting the US Temos team from the Caribbean and LATAM Regional Office, and Dr Miodrag Todorovic, who will be leading the Temos Office Seychelles, Indian Ocean and Eastern Africa.
No doubt these new appointments will be key to ensuring that Temos is able to certify more hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities in the Central American islands by Temos International Healthcare Accreditation (THIA) standards, ensuring that healthcare facilities meet the evolving needs of patient care.
Version 3.0 of Covid-19 safety standards released
The new version, 3.0, of Temos’ ‘Certification of Compliance: Covid-19 Safe’ programme has now been announced by Temos. It says that version 3.0 contains ‘updated information regarding rapid test, crisis communication, a new standard covering the organisation's visitation policy and more than 60 references from the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration.
Back in November 2020, Temos awarded Anatolia Hospital Group the Temos’ ‘Certificate of Compliance: Covid-19 Safe’. In October, Temos took over British hospital accreditation firm QHA Trent’s operations.
