Temos and DIT co-operation to enhance medical travel services worldwide
The healthcare accreditation provider has partnered with Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) to develop online education and training programmes in the fields of tourism, medical travel, and telemedicine
Students, healthcare professionals, and other interested stakeholders will be able to access courses (in English and Spanish) in tourism, medical travel and telemedicine that have been accredited by the University, augmented by the expertise, knowledge, and experience of Temos International Healthcare Accreditation (Temos), and obtain appropriate certificates issued upon completion.
The first course, ‘Digital Collaborative Systems in Healthcare’, is free and available on-demand in English to anyone interested in the topic. The Spanish version will be released soon.
Temos responds to uncertainty around telemedicine regulations
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, current and prospective clients experienced an increased demand for telemedicine and teleconsultation services but were faced with uncertainty regarding appropriate regulations and legal requirements for those services. This dilemma led us to develop the first accreditation standards on telemedicine and teleconsultation offered by an international accreditation body,” said Temos CEO, Dr Claudia Mika.
She continued: “Our team joined with experts at the University Deggendorf that developed an introductory training course on telemedicine and digital collaborative systems in healthcare. It is with great pleasure to announce that we can offer this course complimentary to our partners and we look forward to sharing our practical knowledge of healthcare with students interested in working in the sector”.
It was back in May that Temos introduced its free Covid-19 safe certification programme for hospitals. Temos and DIT’s new collaborative offering could, in a similar way to Microsoft’s new cloud service, help to propel collaborative success in healthcare.
