Destination marketing organisation for the US ─ Brand USA ─ has teamed up with United Airlines to promote international travel across the US.

The partnership means that United Airlines is now an official global airline sponsor of Brand USA and is the exclusive airline sponsor of Brand USA’s next IMAX film.

Brand USA said that the film, Into America’s Wild, takes international audiences on a journey across the US landscape, featuring some of the county’s greatest outdoor experiences, including walking the Appalachian Trail and exploring the wilds of Alaska. It will premiere in February 2020.

"Our sponsorship with United Airlines grew out of our mutual passion for sharing America's treasures with the international travel community. Together, we are determined to find creative solutions that impact global travel to the US," said Christopher Thompson, President and CEO of Brand USA.

Thompson said that travel decisions are increasingly influenced by entertaining content and compelling stories, and he believes that Brand USA and United Airlines have the potential to elevate the position of the US in the worldwide travel sector.

Mark Krolick, United Airline's Vice-President of Marketing, also commented on the partnership: "At United Airlines we continue to grow our industry leading international network by adding more international capacity than any other US carrier in 2019. We look forward to collaborating with Brand USA to showcase the US to travellers around the world."
