ROCK solid partnership
UK-based ROCK Insurance has signed a three-year deal to renew its partnership with Midcounties Co-operative, providing customers with a diverse range of travel insurance products and services. Following a thorough appraisal of the success of Midcounties Co-operative’s travel insurance sales, ROCK has refined the offering to ensure it continues to provide cover tailored to the group’s customers’ needs and maximise profits from their sales.
Ashley Millington, head of client development for ROCK, said: “As the largest consumer co-operative in the UK, Midcounties Co-operative has a varied client base with differing requirements from their travel insurance. ROCK has worked with Midcounties Co-operative since January 2011 and we are constantly reviewing product to ensure we meet our clients’ and their customers’ needs. We look forward to rolling out the revised product across the group’s retail branches and call centres in the next six months.”
Part of ROCK’s commitment to Midcounties Co-operative has been to create products that are specific to each area of the business, whether it be homeworkers, retail outlets or an alternative distribution channel. ROCK recently attended the Personal Travel Agents Conference to fully understand their requirements and has since seen a significant increase in conversion. Ashley commented: “Travel insurance strikes fear into the heart of many travel agents but ROCK’s system makes booking cover straightforward. ROCK will continue to attend these events to ensure we continue to develop and grow key areas of the Midcounties Co-operative business.”
