Promotions in senior team at Manulife Hong Kong
Wilton Kee appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Danny Lee as Chief Product officer
Manulife has announced two new appointments at its Hong Kong office, and said that in 2022 they will be focusing on employee ‘talent development’ to ensure valuable knowledge and experience is put to good use, improving operations and overall customer experience.
Under his new role as Chief Financial Officer, Kee will manage financial operations in Hong Kong and Macau. Manulife said his duties will include financial reporting, planning and control, capital management and planning, asset-liability management, treasury and any other financial issues.
Kee is a qualified actuary with extensive experience in actuarial pricing, financial reporting and risk management. He began his career at Manulife in 2013, working his way up from Pricing Officer to Chief Pricing Officer for Individual Financial Products three years later. He has played a key part in guiding new initiatives such as the Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme and, in 2020, under the title of Head of health, he helped to create Manulife’s health strategy.
As Chief Product Officer, Lee will join the senior management team at Manulife Hong Kong and Macu, reporting to Damien Green, the Chief Executive Officer. He will oversee product development, pricing and distribution compensation operations.
Lee has worked at Manulife for 17 years and is described by the company as a ‘homegrown talent’. He came to the firm as a qualified actuary following his graduation in 2004. Now with significant experience in the field Lee works as a Chartered Financial Analyst and forms part of the Society of Actuaries. His expertise includes business strategy, pricing, product design, distribution compensation and valuation of various product types and distribution channels.
Over the years Lee has assisted in optimizing business growth and value through effective product mix management, said Manulife.
