New York Covid cover from Trawick

Travel insurer Trawick International now offers travel cover for travellers who might contract Covid-19 while visiting New York
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has implemented new travel guidelines for visitors to New York. Before, travellers from states with significant community spread of the disease were required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in New York. Under the new policy, travellers must have tested negative for Covid-19 within three days of arrival to New York and have proof of the test.
Once they have arrived, travellers must follow a state-mandated three-day self-isolation period. On the fourth day, they have to get tested for the virus again. If negative, travellers are free to enjoy their time in New York. If positive, they must quarantine for 14 days.

“New York is a special place to visit during the holiday season and we don’t want potential visitors deterred from visiting because of Covid-19,” said Daryl Trawick, President of Trawick International. “We are proud to offer travel protection products that will provide the necessary protection visitors will need while enjoying New York.”
The travel insurance cover treats Covid-19 as if it was any other illness. If a traveller, travelling companion or non-travelling family member becomes injured or ill, customers are eligible for reimbursement of their non-refundable trip costs. Additionally, coverage may be available for trip interruption and travel delay. The plans also provide reimbursement for medical expenses and emergency medical evacuations expenses incurred if policyholders are injured or sick during their trip.
In July, Trawick International partnered with travel insurance aggregator TravelInsurance.com. TravelInsurance.com is a travel insurance comparison website that helps travellers find insurance policies based on their personal needs. As part of the new partnership, the aggregator will offer Trawick’s Trip Cancellation Plans on its online travel insurance comparison site.
