New partnership for Revolut and Collinson
The companies have joined forces to offer customers free access to airport lounges in the event that their flights are delayed
Global customer benefits and loyalty provider Collinson and global fintech Revolut have entered into a new partnership, which will offer Revolut’s Premium and Metal customers complimentary access to over 1,000 airport lounges in 500-plus airports in 100-plus countries around the world.
Called SmartDelay, the offering is not tied to the customer’s ticket type. Lounge access will include refreshments, Wi-Fi access, newspapers and magazines, as well as the use of conference and business facilities where available.
“Flight delays are always stressful,” said David Evans, Joint CEO at Collinson, “which is why we’ve teamed up with Revolut to give customers a benefit that makes the wait as pleasant as possible. With nearly four million global flight delays every year, it’s likely that every now and again travellers will find themselves delayed. Access to SmartDelay means that Revolut customers can have peace of mind when they travel, knowing that if they are delayed, they’ll have instant access to Collinson’s leading global lounge network, all without having to deal with any lengthy travel insurance claims.”
The benefit kicks in once a flight has been delayed for 60 minutes – at that point, customers will be automatically sent a lounge pass to their smartphone via the Revolut app.
