New insurance portal in Philippines
Philippines-based provider of e-government automation solutions and payment sevices MyEG Philippines, in partnership with a number of local insurers, has launched a new insurance portal, MyEG Insurance, to provide Filipinos with an easy-to-access resource for when they are searching for insurance coverage. The portal offers products and services from various lines, including travel, health and personal accident insurance.

“[This has] been made possible by MyEG Philippines’ partnership with top insurers, namely Malayan Insurance Company, Prudential Guarantee and Assurance, Pioneer Insurance, FPG Insurance Philippines, Standard Insurance Company, MAA Insurance and Mercantile Insurance Company,” said MyEG Philippines in a statement. “[We aim] to bring the advantages and benefits of insurance closer to the general public, as well as to educate every Filipino on the importance of being insured and how easy it is to do so. Through its innovative and intuitive approach, MyEG Insurance offers users the convenience of being able to obtain insurance cover … within a mere 10 minutes.”
The organisation’s president, Ron Aquino, elaborated: “Using the advantage and convenience of an automated process, integrated payment solution and online claims platform, we are able to bring to every Filipino reliable and hassle-free insurance through digital innovation. We are backed up by top insurers in the country, with over 20,000 OTC payment channels and point-of-sale locations across the country.”
