New Horizon for MedjetAssist
Global air medical transport membership programme MedjetAssist recently announced the launch of its newest membership upgrade option, Horizon, which adds what the company is calling ‘elevated access to an unprecedented suite of additional security, health and travel services’.
“The world is changing and so are our members’ needs as they take on more active global pursuits,” said Roy Berger, president and CEO of MedjetAssist. “We’ve long recognised this growing request for supplemental crisis, security and consulting services and have a new product to answer the demand. Horizon is a new standard in travel protection with the broadest range of services we have ever offered.”
Benefits of the new Horizon upgrade include: access to Crisis Assistance Plus, a travel assistance membership programme powered by FocusPoint International, which provides on-demand access to a dedicated 24/7 crisis response centre with veteran security experts who can advise and co-ordinate necessary emergency services in relation to a political threat, violent crime, terrorism, hijack, disappearance, blackmail or extortion, wrongful detention, or kidnap for ransom; ambulance transfer if a Horizon member is hospitalised less than 150 miles from home; specialty hospital transfer for members up to the age of 75; personalised travel advisories and access to government warnings, health and medical requirements, local laws and customs, and visa and passport requirements; and access to a cash advance of up to $50,000 in the event of a medical emergency, as many foreign hospitals require payment in full prior to treatment.
