Monarch and Tui UK extend Sharm el Sheikh cancellations
As the UK's Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) continues to advise against all but essential travel to Sharm el Sheikh due to terrorism-related concerns, travel firms Monarch and Tui UK have both announced that they are extending their cancellations of flights and holidays to the resort. Monarch has cancelled its programmes in Sharm el Sheikh until 30 October (although it is keen to resume as soon as travel advisories are lifted), and other firms are also taking similar precautions - Thomson and First Choice are cancelling all flights until 30 September, and Thomas Cook has said that it will not be resuming bookings in the area until 1 November at the earliest.
