MAXIS GBN partners with Maven Clinic
MAXIS Global Benefits Network has launched a new educational toolkit in partnership with Maven Clinic, a virtual clinic for women’s and family health
The newly launched toolkit is a communications campaign, enabling multinationals to educate individuals on the impacts of menopause and how to support those going through midlife.
The launch of this new toolkit comes at the start of Menopause Awareness Month and ahead of World Menopause Day on 18 October.
The number of women speaking out about the impact of menopause symptoms on both their wellbeing and their careers is increasing – along with the statistics that highlight its impact on businesses.
The new toolkit equips multinationals with education and support for menopause and midlife in their workplace. It seeks to help employers create an inclusive, menopause-friendly environment so they can retain their most experienced female employees. According to MAXIS GBN, the toolkit is also aimed at menopause allies, so everyone can be involved, no matter their gender.
The toolkit contains five weeks’ worth of materials and a facilitator’s guide, for multinationals running the educational campaign. The content focuses on the following topics:
- Demystifying menopause
- How to be an ally
- Managing the physical symptoms of menopause
- Caring for mental health during menopause
- Continuing the discussion on menopause.
Will Porteous, Chief Growth Officer at Maven, commented: “Education is a crucial first step in understanding the challenges faced by women experiencing the symptoms of menopause, both in their personal lives and at work.”
The UK’s 2023 Hologic Global Women’s Health Index scores were below the EU average in cancer screening, emotional health, and women’s safety.
