MAXIS GBN partners with COMAR, extending into Tunisia

healthcare partnership

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (MAXIS GBN) has forged a new partnership with COMAR Tunisia, through which it will offer its multinational clients medical, life, accident and disability insurance via the MAXIS GBN employee benefits programme

Alongside MAXIS GBN, COMAR – a Tunisian insurer with a 9.2-per-cent market share, which makes it the second largest company in the Tunisian insurance sector – is developing a number of innovative projects to improve its products and services, including an international health insurance offering for multinationals; a third-party administration system to streamline administration and reporting; and an online customer centre, giving customers real-time information.

“We are really pleased to welcome COMAR to the MAXIS network,” said Matthew Richards, Director of Member Management, MAXIS GBN. “COMAR is one of the largest insurance firms in Tunisia and so allows us to offer medical coverage to large numbers of our clients in this exciting market. Partnering with local insurers like COMAR means we can offer high-quality solutions for our multinational clients at a local level and we’re looking forward to working with more insurers and entering other new markets as the network continues to grow.”

Hakim Ben Yedder, CEO of COMAR, has also praised the partnership, commenting on the enhanced opportunities that it will bring for COMAR: “We believe the employee benefits market will continue to grow in Tunisia and are confident that being part of the MAXIS network will help us grow our position and reputation in Tunisia, while still developing innovative products and solutions for all our customers.”
