Mandatory digital form required for entry into Cuba
The online form must be completed 48 hours before travel
The Cuban government has announced that from 23 January 2023, all travellers must complete a digital form before travelling to the country.
A Cuba Tourist Office spokesperson said: “Please note that from 23 January, everyone entering Cuba must fill out a form within 48 hours prior to their flight. The form is mandatory for all passengers flying to Cuba.”
The form, called D’VIAJEROS, must be completed online 48 hours before travel, in order to obtain a QR code which must be shown to the airline and border authorities.
D’VIAJEROS requires mandatory data and includes some optional questions too, set out in five sections:
- Customs
- General information
- Immigration information
- Health data related to Covid-19
- Declaration of veracity of the data.
The Cuba Tourist Office has said that this digital process will help ‘to speed up procedures’ at entry points to the country, as the information has been provided in advance.
With passengers wanting convenience more than ever, digital solutions are key for simple post-pandemic travel.
