International health insurance for the DRC
Expats and local communities will have improved access to healthcare thanks to a new partnership
A new partnership between Société Financière d’Assurance (SFA) and Hollard Cigna Healthcare will see SFA become the leading provider of international health insurance in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Hollard Cigna Healthcare is a collaboration between a leading African insurance company and a global health insurer aimed to provide international healthcare provision through its arm of some 2,000 healthcare providers across more than 20 African countries, including Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. By teaming up with insurer SFA, the two companies will ensure easy access to affordable, quality healthcare for local and expat communities.
Elsewhere in Africa, tertiary care hospital Evercare Hospital Lekki recently opened up in Lagos, Nigeria, and Kenya is looking to impose a new Health Amendment Bill to regulate travel for overseas medical care.
