Innovative cardiovascular diagnostic technology comes to the market
A new cardiovascular diagnostic device has been developed by US-based diagnostic software company HeartBeam
The iCardiologist mHealth technology consists of a personal, credit-card-sized 12-lead ECG-capable device coupled with a cloud-based diagnostic system. The pocket-sized device provides patients with peace of mind, knowing that it can detect cardiac disease symptoms and deliver instant updates and information to patients, allowing them to make immediate and informed decisions. In a heart-attack situation, time is of the essence, and the device cuts down the average intervention time (three hours) to mere seconds.
Red Crow, the healthcare innovation marketing platform with which HeartBeam has teamed up to roll out its new product, explains that iCardiologist will benefit the entire healthcare system, not just the patients, although this will undoubtably benefit the most from the life-saving technology.
“We believe that our iCardiologist technology can significantly reduce unnecessary ER visits for chest pain, currently estimated to cost over $10 billion per year,” said Branislav Vajdic, HeartBeam CEO.
