Yesterday morning, a large fire broke out in the French ski resort of Courchevel, killing two people and injuring another 22. According to authorities, the fire started at 4:30 am local time in a building housing seasonal workers in the main area of the resort. Sixty people were evacuated, and 70 firefighters were called to the scene. The victims have not been identified and the cause of the fire is unknown. France’s interior minister, Christophe Castaner, tweeted his condolences to the families and friends of those that died and thanked the firefighters for their work.
