‘Health Passport’ to launch national trial in Ireland
The digital passport platform, developed by Ireland-based ROQU Group, is to facilitate increased Covid-19 testing for businesses and the public
Engineered in Ireland by ROQU Group, the Health Passport is preparing for its pilot launch, where it will be trialled amongst a diverse range of industry sectors, including healthcare, logistics, agriculture, education, childcare, entertainment, and others. Designed to working in harmony with all official Covid-19 tests, including laboratory swab and blood tests, as well as the latest rapid testing solutions soon to be launched, the Health Passport digital platform is able to deliver results in as little as 15 minutes.
“Around the world, there is continued frustration and disappointment due to Covid-19 restrictions,” said Robert Quirke, President and CEO of ROQU Group, at the launch on 27 August. “Health Passport is designed to put a safety net in place where none currently exists, allowing economies to recover and thrive in a controlled environment,” said Mr Quirke.
Should the pilot trail prove successful, the company has detailed that, in addition to Ireland, the Health Passport platform will be launched in the US, UK, Italy, Kenya and Germany, with other locations to follow. And ITIJ notes that this digital platform, like some of the other recently announced Covid-19 testing solutions (including those set up at Heathrow Airport, the 90-minute tests to be rolled out across the UK and CovidPass), will no doubt be integral to speeding up the recovery of both business and leisure travel.
