Healix Health launches new platform
YourHealth247 will give workers the opportunity to get same-day GP appointments
Healthcare provider Healix Health has partnered with Teladoc Health, a global virtual healthcare company, to provide rapid, same-day GP appointments to UK workers via Healix’s new platform, YourHealth247.
Healix Health clients and their employees will be able to access Teladoc Health’s 24-hour virtual GP services provided by GMC-licensed doctors and will have access to online appointments on the same day. Prescriptions can then be delivered to patients’ homes or work addresses, and the service also facilitates a referral to other health services if required.
The duration of phone call consultations is unlimited, giving clinicians the opportunity to talk to patients about more than one medical concern. Patients will also be signposted to relevant services.
The service will also be available to family members, providing access to high quality, patient led care and peace of mind 24/7.
Ian Talbot, CEO of Healix Health, said: “The partnership with Teladoc Health UK is vital for employers at a time when record levels of employees are inactive because of long-term sickness.
“Our data has shown that there’s been a 70 per cent increase in GP appointments booked via our platform since October 2022, showing that demand is soaring for quick intervention.
“By offering rapid GP appointments to their employees, businesses will ensure employees stay healthy and happy, contributing to a reduction in staff turnover while supporting businesses to remain profitable. We are continuously looking to improve the service we offer to our clients, and the introduction of Teladoc Health further shows our commitment to investing in our services.”
John McQuillan, General Manager, Teladoc Health UK added: “Our partnership with Healix Health enables us to continue to put quality care within reach at every step of employees’ healthcare journeys. This is wholly compatible with Healix’s mission to put health and wellbeing above everything else and deliver its services in a way that prioritises people and their needs.”
