Generali opens Moscow office
Italian insurer Generali recently opened a new office in Moscow, a move described by the company as ‘an important milestone’ in its expansion plans for Russia. Earlier this year, the company registered Generali Russia, following its move last year to make its regional office in Prague fully responsible for its dealings in the Russian market.
The new office was officially opened by Luciano Cirinà, Regional Officer of Austria, Central and Eastern Europe and Russia, and CEO of Generali CEE Holding, and Giorgio Callegari, Chairman and CEO of Generali Russia and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States).
“As we inaugurate our new Moscow office, we celebrate a landmark step in our expansion in Russia,” commented Philippe Donnet, Group CEO of Generali. “Generali observes with increasing interest and commitment the evolution and growth of a market which is expressing an increasingly sophisticated demand and requires new products and insurance solutions. We appreciate the efforts by the Russian Government and authorities to provide strong and positive regulatory guidance to the insurance sector and look forward to Generali Russia’s continuous success.”
