Generali Global Assistance appoints new General Counsel
John Collins joins GGA from American insurer AIG
Insurer Generali Global Assistance (GGA) has announced the appointment of John Collins as their new General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
In the new role, Collins will lead GGA’s legal affairs at a corporate level, and will replace previous incumbent Tarik Ajami, who has recently been promoted to serve as General Counsel for GGA parent company Europ Assistance.
Collins brings over 30 years of legal experience to GGA, and joins the company from fellow insurer AIG, where he served as Deputy General Counsel for Personal Insurance for almost nine years. Collins also previously worked as Vice President & Senior Counsel for American Express between 2006 and 2013.
Chris Carnicelli, CEO of Generali Global Assistance, commented on the news: "We're excited to have John join our team. He brings with him a wealth of legal experience within the highly specialized travel insurance business. John has demonstrated he understands GGA's approach to being a company that cares. We look forward to having John's counsel within our senior management team."
