Direct Travel reinforces partnership with Allianz
Business travel management firm Direct Travel has reaffirmed its partnership with Allianz Global Assistance
“Our partnership with Allianz has been best-in-class for the last 10 years,” said Rene Schneeburger, Senior Vice President for Supplier Relations and Revenue Optimisation at Direct Travel. “We recently made them a True Partner, our highest level of partnership, which is a reflection of the tremendous support they provided during 2020 and 2021, and we look forward to this expanded relationship.”
Direct Travel and Allianz have had a long-standing official partner relationship in the US and parts of Canada. This relationship has now been extended to the entirety of Canada following the new announcement.
Under the terms of the official partnership, Allianz offers its travel protection and assistance products to Direct Travel’s clients – including policies [to avoid repetition of coverage] for medical coverage, trip cancellation, and trip disruption.
“Clients who opt in for travel protection can now enjoy their trips knowing that Allianz is there for them 24/7 to help navigate most travel-related mishaps around the world,” said Matt Anstett, Director of eComm and Travel Channel at Allianz. “Our goal is to provide safety, security and peace of mind to travellers throughout their journey – and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be doing it in partnership with Direct Travel.”
Cruise line Crystal Cruises also named Allianz Global Assistance as its travel insurance partner earlier this year.
