Day One at ITIC Connected
Networking got off to a flying start at the first ever virtual ITIC Global event – ITIC Connected – earlier today
Day One of the conference was dedicated to catching up with industry friends and making new connections, listening to industry colleagues share their experiences of this year so far, and learning from others.
A day full of virtual ‘exhibitor spotlights’ gave the stage to a myriad of companies from all sectors of the industry, who shared their individual stories and took questions from attendees. It was a great opportunity to get to the heart of issues that have affected us all and understand the ways in which different companies have overcome these challenges.
The annual Medical Directors’ Forum also took place today – the key points raised by the presenters and the audience members included the difficulties of transferring Covid-positive patients from remote, or third-world, countries; the problems that come up when a patient’s condition is not clearly communicated; and issues that arise with medical crew PPE in countries that have warm climates.
‘How to connect with customers in a digital age’ was also on the agenda, with a special presentation from Louise Fowler, sponsored by GMMI – Louise shared some really useful insights into how other companies and industries are increasing customer loyalty and retention, giving the ITIC audience plenty of food for thought on how insurers could use similar tools and techniques and apply them to their client base.
We’re looking forward to a full day of sessions at ITIC Connected tomorrow, when Covid-19 will be the focus of two panels; wellness will play a key part as we learn how to effectively work from home and take time out for some yoga; and we’ll have the International Provider Network Forum. Not to mention a sprinkle of magic!
If you’re taking part, be sure to pop into the ‘ITIJ: Meet the Team’ session, where you can enter our give-away to win an ITIC registration for 2021!
