Crystal Ski cancels 2020/21 ski season
The TUI-owned UK firm says it has made the decision to do so due to the ‘continued impact of Covid-19 on worldwide travel and ski resorts’
All customers are due to be contacted and given the option to either reschedule their holiday for a future season or claim a full refund for their trip. Crystal Ski reports that there has been ‘high demand’ for winter 2021/22 ski break, which are available to book now.
“We’re so disappointed not to be able to get our customers to the mountains this winter and we’d like to thank them for their continued patience, understanding and support," said the company’s Managing Director Chris Logan. “We know skiers and snowboarders are desperate to get back on the snow and we’re now looking forward to making next winter one to remember.”
The various travel restrictions in place at ski resorts across Europe to help counter growing Covid cases will no doubt have played a major role in Crystal Ski’s decision. Back in November 2020, TUI was forced to cancel trips booked to Finland in November and December due to inbound travel restrictions in place in Finland.
