Crystal plans Bahamas sailings from July
Reservations have opened for the recently announced 2022 deployment for Crystal River Cruises, and Bahamas voyages are to resume in July, as the cruise line hopes for a better future for the cruise industry
In a joint press conference with Bahamas tourism officials, leaders of the Florida-based cruise line said Crystal would resume sailings on 3 July with a series of week-long, all-Bahamas voyages out of Nassau and Bimini – something that has never been done by a cruise line before.
The trips will take place on Crystal’s 980-passenger Crystal Serenity. “This is an exciting day for cruising, for the islands of the Bahamas, for Crystal and for all those who love and miss life-enriching travel,” said Crystal’s interim President and CEO, Jack Anderson.
River cruise reservations open for 2022
Crystal River Cruises unveiled the new itineraries for its two river cruise ships, also announcing that Crystal Mozart will set sail next year with the industry’s first dedicated suites for solo travellers. Travellers can now book an array of new itineraries including Crystal Mozart’s convenient seven-night Danube Dreams and Discoveries round-trip from Vienna, and new Christmas and New Year’s sailings.
Aboard Crystal Mahler, guests have a selection of new routes at their fingertips, including five-night summer Rhine and Moselle Summer Escapes sailings between Amsterdam and Trier; 10-night fall Splendors of the Rhine and Moselle voyages between Amsterdam and Basel; 14-night Magnificent Europe sailings between Amsterdam and Budapest on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers; and a 10-night Holidays on the Rhine sailing from Basel to Amsterdam.
Voyages along the Rhine and in the Netherlands
In addition to the new itineraries, Crystal Mahler will sail popular seven-night Romantic Rhine and Legendary Rhine itineraries between Amsterdam and Basel and springtime Tulips and Windmills voyages on Dutch waterways and the Rhine River round-trip from Amsterdam. The latter showcases the once-in-a-decade Floriade Expo near Amsterdam, where the city and surrounding area transform with flora and greenery from across the globe.
At the moment, most cruise operators are insisting on proof of Covid immunity, including vaccinations, to board ships.
