Collinson bolsters security operations
Collinson has announced that Peter Cooper has been appointed Global Security Director, a position that will see him tasked with delivering Collinson’s Travel Risk Management (TRM) offering.
The company said that Peter will be responsible for establishing and directing Collinson’s security operations from its new Global Security and Operations Centre (GSOC) in Sussex, UK.
“I am immensely excited to join Collinson,” Peter said. “We have enormous scope to broaden our Travel Risk Management proposition through other areas of our business – it’s a pivotal time to join the company.”
The company wants Peter to shape the GSOC team, ensuring robust monitoring and crisis response procedures in co-operation with third-party security partners, which will help to support Collinson’s TRM proposition.
Peter has had previous experience leading a GSOC at a major global security consultancy, as well as roles in regional security centres, in countries such as Ukraine and Nigeria.
“We are delighted to welcome Peter to Collinson. The delivery of integrated Travel, Medical and Security assistance is an exciting phase in the evolution of Assistance at Collinson,” Mark Rands, Head of Assistance, added. “Peter has the background, commercial and operational skills to drive the development of our services to fit the changing needs of the wide spectrum of Collinson clients across travel and IPMI.”
