Clinerion partners with EvidNet
Many of our avid readers will recall only yesterday reading of Clinerion’s partnering with Massive Bio – and today we bring you yet another collaboration that is set to strengthen the company’s expansion into Asia
EvidNet – a healthcare data network based in Asia – has compiled a healthcare data network of 36 million patient records from 27 hospitals in Asia, which is interoperable with its ecosystem of hospitals in South Korea and the rest of Asia. This proves extremely beneficial to Clinerion, as its Patient Network Explorer platform (which comprises 73.4 million patients in partner hospitals across 20 countries) can be harmonised and integrated alongside EvidNet’s data and so extend both companies’ real-world data offerings in their respective regions, thus driving healthcare forward and improving health outcomes and treatments for patients.
In addition, EvidNet is also a member of the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) collaboration and, as such, actively spreads the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) throughout South Korea and the Asia-Pacific region.
Ian Rentsch, CEO of Clinerion, noted that the partnership would not only allow Clinerion to expand its presence in Asia, but, with EvidNet as a partner, would also enable the company to collaborate with the OHDSI on the implementation of the OMOP CDM in the rest of Asia. “The core benefit of the partnership will be to provide accelerated access to treatments and visibility on clinical trials for patients in the Asian markets,” he added.
“We are very excited to collaborate with Clinerion to have the opportunity to expand the coverage of patient recruitment services for clinical trials all over the world,” commented Brian Jo, CEO of EvidNet. “We will do our best to innovate clinical trials and create healthy medical research ecosystems based on the data network established by both companies.”
